| Nathans of Georgetown, Washington D.C. |
MEDIABISTRO.COM Thursday, Jun 01 At a bar. Nathan's, the Georgetown watering hole and restaurant hosts small -- VERY small lunches -- with Q&As of featured guests similar to those aforementioned name-dropping names. For thirty bucks, you get a great lunch and even better conversation with top-dog news reporters AND news makers. The lunches are the brainshild of Nathan's owner Carol Joynt, an accomplished journalist in her own right. She has worked with everyone from Walter Cronkite to Chris Matthews. This is one lady wading knee-deep in contacts for memorable lunching! Nathan's has been regularly hosting these events -- called Cafe Q&As -- in the saloon's "back room," a favored Saturday night end-up spot. If you miss the lunch, there's always Joynt's Webcast linked somewhere to her Web site, Diary of a Mad Saloon Owner. Audios are also available if you lack the lastest Flash. Video production for these lunches is by InterfaceMediaGroup, aka IMG, which plans to feature on its new Washington, DC, online network. (More later on the network.) |
